The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS.

The programme aims to in calculate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias.

SS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources.

It also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.

Free Counselling by a certified counselor is available on every second and fourth working Saturday in Counselling Cell between 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The Students, Teachers and Non-teaching Staff should take benefit of the said facility. The student council of our college act as an umbrella body for all the clubs & committees on campus and ensure their smooth functioning at each juncture. Apart from being the link between the students and the management, the Student Council is also responsible for the brand enhancement of the college and it constantly strive towards making the experience of all the students on campus comfortable and enriching.

Student council is a group of students elected by peers to participate in designated areas of college regime. Students who participate in student councils, under the supervision of a teacher learn about the democratic process, civic responsibility, leadership, problem solving, and teamwork. The members are duly elected in the General Election of the College for one year in accordance with Student’s Union Constitution of the University.

Anti-Ragging Cell
Ragging means any conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in undisciplined activities which cause or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, or psychological harm to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student. The student indulging in the above act is liable for punishment of suspension, debarring from examination, rustication or cancellation of admission or fine, etc.

Ragging in all its forms is prohibited on the College Campus. The provisions of the Act of the Central Government and the State Governments if enacted will consider ragging as a cognizable offense under the law on a par with rape and other atrocities against women and ill-treatment of persons belonging to SC/ ST.

Duties of the Cell
1. To ensure the overall disciplined environment in the College.
2. To initiate timely action against erring students.
3. To sensitize students about the evils of ragging and its prevention on the College Campus by organizing talks/programs etc.
4. To address complaints about ragging as per the Govt. and University procedures.
5. To maintain records of the cases investigated and submit the same to the IQAC Committee.
